I don't see myself being fond of listening to rock music at all. But I did listen to one song from Mastodon when my brother repeatedly bugged me into it saying it really is a good song. I wonder what the group is doing right now. Probably, they're preparing for their next album and going into college essay mode for the lyrics and other stuff.

The music, as varied and tumultuous and, in places utterly beautiful as it is, place the band beyond the pale where lyrics and themes are barely articulated in the hammering thunder of apocalyptic noise www.dealersiteplus.ca

The band released a whole bunch of critically acclaimed albums in a bunch of different metal styles and never making the same album twice–truly an admirable effort for a band of such stature.

After hearing "Leviathan" I immediately purchased everything Mastodon has to offer. This is my first listen after hearing "Leviathan" and "Blood Mountain" deserves every accolade that I have heard from critics and friends. Truly a masterpiece. Brilliantly written, produced and performed. "This Mortal Soil" is unbelievably great. That does not mean the other songs are not as good, just that that song is the one that sends the most shivers down my spine. In 3 days I have listened 6 times and I'm going at it again tommorow. Then "Crack the Skye" and on and on from there until I have listened to Mastodon's entire discography. I am a HUGE fan of Mastadon. Not that I have any doubts that you will but keep up the amazing work.
